Trade fairs in Paris you should not miss

Categories : Fairs and Tradeshows, published on : 2/9/16

During these next two months, Paris will become the capital of agriculture and then of tourism as the Porte de Versailles exhibition centre welcomes the International Agricultural Show from February 27th to March 6th and the World Tourism Fair from March 17th to 20th. These trade fairs offer the chance to meet those who shape our landscapes and fill our plates, as well as those who are in the know concerning the latest trends in travel! The Ouest Hotel tells you a little about these two flagship events of the Parisian year.

The Agricultural Show; a harvest of interest and excitiement

Drawing on the spirit of the Universal Exhibition of 1855 as much as it does that of the modern agricultural show and trade fair, the Salon International de l'Agriculture has been a much-loved feature of the Parisian calendar since 1964, when the modern version of the event began. A veritable institution, this show allows visitors of all ages to discover the best of French agriculture.

Meet the professionals who balance tradition and high-tech and are truly at the heart of life. Taste the fruits of the French landscape and discover over 4000 beautiful animals amidst a festive atmosphere. Don’t miss the General Agricultural Contest, which has a proud history dating back to 1870 and annually serves as a reminder of the excellence of French livestock. At each booth you’ll discover people with a passion for their job, exercised with respect for tradition and the continuing effort to evolve and improve. This show has established itself as a vital link between the capital and the countryside, bringing together lives that are different but highly interdependent. A must!

The tourism fair: start packing!

Happy the man who like Ulysses has made a beautiful journey! Travel is indeed an ancient recipe for happiness, but the sentiment is still decidedly current. Step across the threshold of the Salon Mondial du Tourisme and you’ll find yourself in the departure lounge ready to embark on a voyage into fun, fascination and relaxation! Whatever your tastes, whether you’re a solo traveller or prefer family vacations, whether you’re interested in short breaks, adventure holidays, unusual destinations and cultural discovery or are simply looking for somewhere to enjoy a little pampering and relaxation, you’ll find all the latest trends in tourism right here. There are a number of themed areas so you can find exactly what you need quickly and easily.
