Experiences to be savoured during your stay at the Ouest Hotel...

The Salon du Livre becomes Livre Paris

Renamed Livre Paris, the Salon du Livre returns in 2017 to the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Centre from March 24th to 27th. This massive trade fair is dedicated to all aspects of publishing and books, from novels and poetry to periodicals and non-fiction, with side trips into the world of the comic strip. This is an opportunity for thousands of readers to come and meet their favourite authors and have copies of their works signed, browse the stands of the most prestigious publishing houses such as Gallimard or Grasset, and attend fascinating conferences and exhibitions. This year, Morocco and its rich and abundant literary heritage are honoured. But Livre Paris is also an opportunity to discover new literary horizons and lesser known but exceptional writers!

The return of the Art Paris Art Fair to the Grand Palais

Eagerly awaited each year by thousands of art lovers, the Art Paris Art Fair will be held at the Grand Palais from March 30th to April 2nd. This fair of artistic discovery welcomes more than 100 galleries from 30 countries that come to exhibit the works of European and international artists. Thanks to organised tours, you can be guided through the offerings of the contemporary art world. The more adventurous can stroll the aisles of the Grand Palais alone in search of emerging artists and new creativity from all over the world. Artists also attend in person to exhibit their works and interact with visitors. This year, the African continent is in the spotlight as the special guest. The selections on display highlight the richness and diversity of African art and its increasingly important place in contemporary creativity.

The Saut Hermès returns to the Grand Palais

Finally, if your passion is for the equestrian world rather than that of art and literature, visit the Grand Palais from March 17th to 19th to enjoy the new edition of the Saut Hermès. The luxury brand is sponsoring the 8th edition of this international competition 5 star level show jumping event. For three days, the best riders and their mounts will vie for supremacy in an arena situated within the Grand Palais. Several competitions are scheduled, including, for the first time, an evening contest on the Saturday. There will also be a special performance of The Dream of Don Quixote, a work resulting from the collaboration between the playwright Florent Azoulay and the famous stuntman and horse trainer Mario Luraschi.
